Everything in the city center is ancient and historical. The people are beautiful, the food is delicious and the coffee is superb, I have no words to describe how good the chocolate there is. The whole old town is in UNESCO World Heritage list, as well as the St. George’s Cathedral and The High Castle Park. Up on the hill, in the old times, there was a real castle but now there you can find only a park and some ruins. Narrow streets, ancient buildings and many churches and cathedrals. This is a common sight in the old centre. In every second building that is not a church, there is a café, an in most of the others – museums.
COFFEE
In the downtown of Lviv it is full of coffee houses. In Lviv you can find a lot of souvenirs related to coffee, and there is a wholemuseum of coffee. In Lviv the coffee has a special popularity. According to a legend the person that brought the coffee to Europe was born in Lviv and that was the reason why the coffee is so popular. Each coffee house is unique, with its special atmosphere.
CHOCOLATE
This is the thing you could spend all your money for. “Lviv Handmade Chocolate” when I enter in this place always I don’t want to go out. The narrow staircases every time took to different floor full of chocolate delights. Every winter I was there and its amazing drank hot chocolate and ate liquid chocolate, after that chocolate candies… Imagine that it is very cold outside and you with your friend are staying indoors and drinking wonderful hot chocolate. Er, I spent a lot of time there.
OLD STORY
There are wonderful stories about this city. If you walk around Rynok square you may notice that most of the buildings have only 3 windows. This is because in the times these buildings were made there was a rule imposing huge taxes on buildings with more than 3 windows. So only the rich people could afford homes with more windows.
NIGHT CITY
Lviv is the city of wonders and surprises. With the coming of night, when all lions and trams fall asleep, street musicians and noisy cafés quite down, Lviv becomes club city that beckons with bright flashes, music and parties of all kinds. Nightlife in Lviv is a vivid mix of music, dancing and crazy fun.
WINTER TIME
Lviv in winter time all covered in snow and it looks like from a fairy tale! Always in winter funny thing is that fact, that in the morning you cant not find your car on the huge piles of snow. Winter time is good time to get good excuse missed school or job. Because it's not possible to drive or walk in weather like this. Any way It's always fun and amazing thing.

STREET MUSICANS
As soon as the weather gets a bit warmer, Lviv streets start bustling with musicians, live bands and performers. They add a special charm to the city and let you enjoy lively music while sitting on the benches of City Rynok Square. Sometimes locals suddenly get up and start dancing, its really much fun.
HIGH CASTLE
Lviv High Castle iS my favorite place. It offers a quiet refuge from the busy city streets, and it has indubitably the best aerial views of the city! Actually from High Castle you can see all city, and its amazing. The hill, also known as Vysoky Zamok, used to be a wooden fortress, built in the 13th century by King Lev. The structure was destroyed and then rebuilt again from stone a century late. Castle served as a residence for King’s steward and as a prison, but fell apart some hundred years later. Nowadays, only fragments of old walls remind about place’s former glory.
